Windcrest is in Trouble

   Campaign literature suggests Windcrest City Council fixed the streets of Windcrest with Cash, no debt.  Strange claims after feeling the condition of Windcrest streets.  Six Flags has nothing on the ride down Midcrown Drive, the main road into Windcrest.   Try the high speed limit Eagle Crest Dr. and your bones will shake.
   Every year this administration decreases city revenue with lower Tax Rates, subsidizes trash pickup and uses Leases rather than cash to fund many projects. A gaggle of City officials take elaborate trips to Las Vegas award pay and merit increases yet Windcrest streets are in deplorable condition.  Why?
    Recently the Windcrest Fire dorms were determined unfit for occupancy.  The City Manager has responsiblity for the Fire Dorms, after all the Fire Dorms are City Property!    Has he been chastised?
    Citizens of Windcrest should demand answers!   Now "Bonds" are being proposed due to insufficient funds!  Read between the line, Windcrest is in Trouble!!

Felony Charges-Windcrest Councilmember??

Rick Cockerham was appointed to the Windcrest City Council to fill a vacancy.  He is now campaigning to remain on Windcrest City Council, Place 4.  Turns out, he was charged with a Felony, although he plead guilty to a lesser crime,  Is this the best Windcrest has to offer?  Windcrest does not need this caliber of individual on City Coiuncil.  https://youtu.be/2k4NOaUAMkE    The charge is Public Record, available to anyone at the Bexar County Court House.  Windcrest deserves people with Integrity and honesty on City Council. Mr. Cockerham has proven he lacks both, but failed to disclose that fact.   Rick Cockerham should withdraw from the elections and/or Resign immediately.

Vote FOR Proposition 1

  Windcrest Volunteer Fire ASSOCIATION was discharged via the Fire Protection Agreement which also formally recognized the WVFD Bugle Crew as the official replacement.  Citizens of Windcrest submitted a petition which requires the formation of the Bugle Crew and the Fire Protection Agreement be brought before Windcrest Voters on May 5, 2018.  A Vote "FOR" Proposition 1 will keep the original WVF Association.     Facts: Under Fire Chief Reese Windcrest had 28 Active Fire Fighters on duty.   (see below) Now under Fire Chief Weidemann Windcrest has 14 Active Fire Fighters. (see below) That's 50% fewer Firefighters under Chief Weidemann!    No wonder the Fire department  was unable to respond to a March 911 call .  That's right, there was a 911 call in March 2018, the Ambulance service arrived,  but NO Fireman were available to respond!   The Fire Department DID NOT respond at all.    That has never happened before according to research.   Windcrest needs a new Fi
